Hi guys, lovely forum btw (I just found it)

Proud owner of new KIA Stinger 2023, one of last pieces here in Slovakia

I have a question about start of infotaiment

Why everytime, has lowed volume, start of infotaiment together with 3D map or left and 2D map on right (everytime need to click on 2D map to hide) I want only full screen map on startup of infotaiment!

Also, every start, system will lower the volume to like 5 after few seconds (I want like 15 at start)

Does matter how I turn off car

I have KIA Connect and every start, the infotaiment start to download settings from app (Its annoying too)

is there any solution to solve this problem? I am hopeless becouse I tried everything.. thx!

I'll have to look, but on mine (2022 GT LTD), she alwats starts up to the home screen with the dimmed map on the right and the current media playing on the left, along with time, weather, etc. when I flip it to media, it always has the compass on the right--not full screen. I haven't tried, bit I think that those is one of those things that you have to set every time...kinda like drive mode unless you leave it in Eco or Comfort.

So on mine I don't use Kia Connect/UVO. But I can say:

The volume on mine seems to save based on media source. i.e terrestrial radio saves the volume separately from Bluetooth. Both are about 3 on mine but Radio is 5, Bluetooth is 7.

The split screen saves the status after shutting her off.

So, maybe it's an issue with Kia Connect?

so KIA connect can be the main problem, but, I want to use it, but without settings, dont know if I am able to use it and not change anything in settings, will try it, and after I ll give here feedback

Congratulations on your MY23 Stinger purchase.

Firstly the things you mention are all settable.

Without sitting in my car and taking you through step by step you can definitely set the volume to NOT lower during phone calls, SatNav, start up, reversing and so on and probably any of the other things you mention.

The same goes with the SatNav. Work through the settings.

There are literally hundreds of settings most of which are preset for you which you may not like.

I suggest you get into your vehicle. Hit the start button TWICE without having your foot on the brake. This will activate all the vehicle settings without starting the car, then slowly step though each setting ticking or unticking boxes as you go. Some and I don't remember which will open into further settings so try each.

Don't worry about the battery discharge warning. You aren't going to affect the battery much playing with these settings.

It took me a good 3 months to learn all of the features with some the car having to be driven whilst learning them like cruise, radar etc which can be challenging when you are trying to keep your eyes on the road.

The SatNav has a load of settings in itself from speed camera distance notification to roadkill to maps.......

If you are getting frustrated Don't go resetting the system to factory default. There is nothing wrong with your system.............

ok, logout from kia connect works well, so, I cant use it, then will work it like charm
