Hello

Just curious if any of the non-US spec cars have the mirror buttons that light up. I thought I saw a video where they did but cannot find it now. I am talking about the garage door and power and compass buttons specifically.

I know there is power there since the little "area" LED is righ there.

Looking to light the mirror buttons up along with the sunroof button. They are the only buttons NOT lit in the car.

iF non-US spec cars DO have these lit up, my guess would be an easy swap so that I don't have to wire my own in. Any pics would also be great. I am more concerned with mirror buttons over sunroof button.

Thanks

In Canada, at least on the top model, all the buttons are lit on the mirror... I like it a lot! I’m always fumbling on our Sedona for the correct button for one of three garage doors to open...

Excellent, thanks. I have the top trim US spec and they dont. Now i am curious if the plug is the same? Any chance you could inquire about a part number with your dealer?

Cheers

Part number according my parts guy is #85101G3200... and the cost is CDN $1666! Ouch!! It is VIN-specific so I have no idea if it will work with your US model... he did mention that there was another one in the system... likely for the non-limited Canadian model would be my guess...

Ha...thats funny...the buttons can stay dark for that amount. Interesting they would be VIN specific. I could imagine them having a different power cord but never know.

I suppose maybe i can open mine up and tap off the lights already in there.

Thanks for checking!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
did you ever tap into the line and light the buttons up? i just realized tonight, after finally programming the homelink buttons that i couldn't see them when it was time to put the car in the garage. I found that odd so I wenn to my Camry parked next to it and they light up in that car. how can they miss something like this?

Just a random thought on this - if you need to find the right button in the dark, consider putting a small dot of something on the one you use the most - like a tiny spot of hot glue. Then you can easily feel which one it is. A lot of devices use that technique - older phones with real buttons, remote controls, etc.

Personally I'm glad not to have stuff glowing up around the mirror (the compass drives me nuts!), but I can understand the frustration.

You can turn the compass off, at least in my GT2 I can.
