Another good review and kinda feel sorry for Holden, think it will turn into another Pontiac and slowly disappear.

Except that Pontiac built two of their finest cars in the years before they were axed by GM -- the GTO and the G8 GT. I own(ed) both of them and they were exceptional cars. They weren't filled with all manner of gadgets and toys for the dash swipers but they were mechanically rugged and trouble-free. I had to trade one of them for the Stinger and the G8 got the hit because of the mileage. I'll keep the GTO forever, probably, because of the 6-speed and the lovely 6.0L LS2.

Holden on the other hand, seems to be working away from the great cars of their past rather than building the best to survive. JMHO.

The biggest problem for Holden is that it wasn't financially viable to build the Commodore sedan or ute or Caprice any longer in such a limited market mainly for Australia and New Zealand, Holden accepted millions of taxpayer dollars over the years claiming the Government funding would keep local manufacturing afloat, and then they went back on their word and announced in 2013 Holden would cease production in OCT 2017, the decision to cease Holden car manufacturing in Australia was made by its parent company General Motors in Detroit , Michigan, USA. As a former employee whom i lost my employment from Holden's Engine Operations, our Commodore engines i believe were to be supplied from GM's St Catherines engine plant in the US for the new ZB Commodore. The 2018 ZB Commodore is a global platform vehicle which is shared with the Opel Insignia and Buick Regal.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
