Hello,

Just installed the JB4 (with EWG wires) and collected a few logs. I did a few runs in Map 1 and 2 yesterday (combined log attached) and then Map 0 this morning (log attached). Seeing some pretty poor IGN values in all logs. I'm running:

- Injen intakes
- HKS spark plugs gapped to 0.022-0.023
- Chevron 94 octane (BC, Canada)

Can't really blame the fuel, as it's bad in Map 0. I've e-mailed Terry, but I thought I'd post here also. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be the issue?

Thanks

Update: Terry responded to my e-mails (he is very prompt!). He notes that "Canada 94" (Chevron 94) is not good, and may even be worse than typical 91 octane. So I'm going to run my tank down and try out Shell 93 (this is relatively new here in BC, Canada) and do some more Map 0 and Map 1 logs. If those look good, I'll try Map 2.

North Van here. Chevron 94 is hit and miss you’ll have better luck with Shell 93. Get yourself into the Flying J and add 20 litres of E85 to 40 of 93. Check out the Vancouver Stingers FB page and join us for a cruise.

Thanks CncBilly. This is consistent with Terry's comment that "Chevron 94 can be worse than 91". BUT I don't think it's as bad as I thought. I reset the ECU (disconnected battery for >10 mins) and did a couple more Map 1 runs. The numbers look much better, but still too high (4's and 5's vs 8's and 9's). I'm feeling good about trying Shell 93 on Map 1.

The closest Flying J to me is near hope. I live in the interior, but frequent Vancouver. I will have to stop there and try out that mix!

I'll look up that FB page; I will have some time this summer to go for a drive hopefully. Do you guys do Old Merrit Highway? It's fantastic.

just buy a 15 gallon gas can and everytime you go you can put 5 gallons in the tank and have enough in the can for three more fillups!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yes better but still not the best. Old Merrit Hwy is nice but a bit far for our crowd. I suggested a Princeston lunch cruise that received cold reviews. A couple weeks ago we met in Langley and did a Harrison Hot Springs run. Anyway welcome to the forum a great place for all things Stinger. Post up some more logs when you get into the Shell 93. Cheers
