Just bought my 2018 Thunder Grey Stinger GT limited. Love the car so far!
I have a quick question for anyone driving in the cold. Has anyone installed an oil pan heater?Canadian Polar Pad 250 watt is what I found, but not sure if the oil pan is Flat or ribbed. It needs to be flat to install this heater. Size is 4x5 inches so not a big foot print.

Hello. A technical question out of the gate! Cool! I just wait till my oil temperature shows above 100 before I start accelerating modestly. Drive like a grandpa till your "precious fluids" are warmed up all the way.

Thank you for that picture, I decided today to install the block heater instead. Do you use an oil drain valve? I've always wondered about doing that.

I was more worried about the cold starts as it is currently -30C! I don't even want to go outside it's so cold.
Definitely need to drive like a grandpa until everything is nice and warm.

Thank you for that picture, I decided today to install the block heater instead. Do you use an oil drain valve? I've always wondered about doing that.

I do. It is the Fumoto valve and it works great. Prevents oil from spilling all over the crossmember (only happens on RWD, AWD have a higher clearance) and no need to worry about removing drain plugs and stripping the oil pan.

I have my Stinger parked for winter but, I asked on the Alberta trend how their Stingers are handling the deep freeze, they all said great. Winter tires seems to be the biggest thing, the UVO app is a great tool also.
