Hi dear stingerforum.org members,

My name is Guy and I am the proud owner of a red Stinger 2.0T "Dream edition" for now 24 hours :)

I am French and work in Korea for now 7 years, actually I work for one of the numerous Hyundai Motor Group companies.

First time I saw the Stinger, I knew that it would be my next car (so far I was driving a Hyundai Sonata), I love the design of the Stinger and everything about the car, before purchasing my Stinger I did a lot of googling and naturally I found this great forum.

I must say that Korea isn't the best place to check the max speed of a car especially that now it's thanksgiving season and there's lot of traffic jams, but I could really enjoy the few kilometers/miles I did with it.

Wishing you a great day,

Guy

Forgot to add some pictures of my car, here they are(will be visible only after moderator approval):

...If they would bring this to the USA, I might be a customer. If not, they've lost me.

Well, there are some additional features the GT has in addition:
- Dynamic Stability Damping Control (DSDC) with 5-Modes
- Built-in G-Force Meter
- Really good looking 19” alloy wheels (the dream edition has 18’’ wheels with different design)
- D shaped steering wheel
- some additional comfort options

But I agree on the outside, it’s quite looking the same

I am pretty sure they will, so far the strategy of Hyundai/Kia has always been to make available for the NA market only the upper trims that we find here in Korea.

Nice. I've never seen that car before...
It was known as the European Mustang back in the day. The V6s would generate 140bhp or 160 for the 2.8 injection, but the 2.0 was equally nice to chuck about. I had about 7 of these and would buy one now if I could source a decent one. The side of my Father in Laws house fell on my last one in a storm in 2015. I had owned that 13 years and it was an appreciating classic.

Wow, what a way to lose a rare car. :( It does have Mustang-like looks to it. It reminds me of a cross between the Pinto and Mustang. I like it!
The Pinto is a reference to the 2.0 Litre Ford SOHC which it used. I believe it was known as the Mercury Capri in America, but why buy a European Mustang in America! They also raced quite successfully in touring cars here for example theZakspeed.webp 370 hp 2.0 turbo with a composite body.

No wonder it looks familiar! I remember that car - mainly different headlights as our first generation. The second generation Mercury Capri 5.0 was a much wanted car/alternative to the Mustang 5.0 back in the 80s...
