I'm new to the forum space, I see there is a lot of helpful information here.

I have a 19' Kia Stinger 2.0, and I am interested in chip-tuning. I was researching Lap 3, I know they require some things to be installed to ensure optimal performance. Is that how it is with other chip-tuning services like Race Chip's tune? Lastly, is there any recommended mods I could do to help increase the power output? More so like specific brands as far intakes, spark plugs (I'll probably go with HKS), etc.? Feel free to answer one question or both, or none. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us. For OPTIMAL performance, you will want other supporting modifications. However, chip / tune alone will make a noticeable difference.

I started using the JB4 by Burger Motorsports over ten years ago. Check out the forum store and vendor section for all sorts of upgrades.

Hey @Mr 2.0T,

Welcome to the forum!

The JB4 is a great tuner and offers the most power for your money and reliability.

You will definitely need upgraded plugs with any tune and I highly recommend going with HKS.

Your Intake options will all bring a very similar power increase as well as exhausts, so I suggest going with the one that calls out to you.

Power wise there are options it just really depends on what you are after. Jb4 is pretty much the staple go to, and support is readily available. Either BMS or the forum members. Racechip will do the job as well, just dont know what the end user support is like. A friend of mine has one and has had no issues. Lap3 ecu would be my choice if i was to do anything, and again the support is there.
