I seem to be one of the few owners of a Stinger in the UK. I've been told that each dealer only has an allocation of 16 stingers to sell each year, but it doesn't look they are even meeting those numbers as I've not seen another one on the roads yet!
I've had her for 2 weeks now and I'm in love. Kia have made such a fantastic car and it's a pleasure to own. I love how comfortable and advanced the cabin is, and how powerful that engine is (I have the Stinger GTS in the UK which is the 3.3l V6 and comes with every option available in the UK).
The reaction from people has been awesome. Regularly hear "WOW, that's a Kia??" or "Looks like a Maserati!" (The latter from my postman).
A couple of photos attached of a countryside photoshoot - boy she's photogenic! 34090679_10160395389685704_198100998546259968_o.webp 34092175_10160395355015704_1310112501572042752_o.webp 34258543_10160395357285704_3108018556508307456_o.webp 34088633_10160395355120704_8477692283213316096_o.webp

beautiful color combo. congrats.

Looking good!

What part of the UK? I worked near Manchester several years back, and really enjoyed my time there. I was based out of Glossop in the Peak District, with lots of nice roads around there to explore on the weekends.

Ah very nice! I'm about 20 miles north of Manchester so usually go to the Lake District on the weekends, but I used to live near the Peak District. It is beautiful with some lovely roads.

Welcome aboard and congratulations!!!...great photos, She is indeed a looker.

G’day & congrats on your new ride, it will certainly be a joy to drive on your English country roads, this car will love it.
There are a couple of UK owners already members on this forum.

Nice Photo shots. Great Color. Enjoy the car !

Nice shots, enjoy the sun roof whilst its not raining:) Nice area the Lake district plenty of scenery.

I'm trying to imagine driving on your narrow country roads in a Stinger. I was trying to not get run down by tractors and lorries coming over the browlines and I was only in a little skate of a Hyundai Getz.

It felt like no wiggle room at all to escape if anyone happened to ride the centerline. And the result was a bumped LF hubcap and scuffed tire, from trying, and meeting the curbs that seemed to be everywhere(!?). I decided that growing up driving in England just makes drivers ballsy. The Stinger is huge compared to a Getz.

The last time i was there i hired a ford focus and was driving the narrow country lanes of devon when my passenger side mirror hit the arm of a pedestrian on the sise of the road. It flung the mirror through the open window and out the drivers side window! When i managed to turn around and go back the farmer was off walking in a field without a concern. How you get a 187cm (6'2") Stinger down those lanes!!

I just returned from a hiking trip in the Czech Republic with the same narrow European roads. We were in a MB bus that was every bit as wide as a Stinger -- probably wider. Drivers in Europe are a darn sight better at knowing where their fenders are than U.S. drivers (on average.) Two cars passing on a 1-1/2 car wide road is normal.

Do they drive RH steering in Singapore?

Yes, indeed. Singapore is part of the Commonwealth. So, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia are all RH steering. In addition, Thailand, Japan, Brunei, Indonesia are RH steering.

I realise that there’s a big battery placed in the spare tyre compartment. Is this unique to RH driving Stinger?

Thanks mate nice to know we all drive on the correct side of the road:D:D:D:D

On behalf of the LHD Commonwealth consortium, I can confirm that those of us driving on the sensible side of the road also have the battery in the trunk - er, boot ... :D
