Hey everyone I purchased the LED vent kit about a week ago, I managed to use the factory vent “frame” and glue the vents there for a very snug fit.

I am trying to wire into the ambient lighting currently and am having trouble how to wire it. I have a “y” shaped plug with 4 pins on each side, but the ambient lighting inside my car is 3 pins. What do I need to do for this to work? Thanks

Look for dark rise ambient light installation on YouTube. He wired his to the factory controls.

I managed to figure out the wiring, but the fitment for these vents is absolutely horrendous, I cut every vent with a dremmel but I cannot manage to put the front dash back on, and no one shows the steps to do so anywhere. The oem vents are curved and the ones from the kit are fully straight, which prevents them from going inside. If you could help me with a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

I actually haven’t done mine yet (just haven’t got to it) and it’s been a month or so since I watched the videos. Did you remove the bracket and glue the new vents direct, or dremmel and then attach to the bracket?

I took off the oem bracket and shaved it down with a dremmel, the vents fit in fine. I did this so the glue doesn’t seep into the dash. I glued the vents into the bracket. I cannot find a single post or video online of someone popping the dash back in after installing the vents, though

Yeah so I think that might be your issue. I think the brackets get tossed, and vent glue directly to the back. Look up the video from vivid visual.

I managed to get the vents in and built my own shroud using sheet metal. I am pretty sure the bracket wasn’t the problem and it is mainly due to the fact that the stock vents are thinner and curved. It greatly reduced airflow in my vents installed, so I’m sadly switching back to stock. Best of luck when you decide to install your and I hope the process is easy for you.

Thanks for all the insight. This will be helpful when I go to do it. I bought a “spare” dash off eBay for $70 just in case I need to roll back, or I screw something up.

I managed to fit the factory vents in the original frame and soldered the wires back into the interior lighting. Everything works how it did before. Sadly I couldn't get those vents to work. Let me know if it works out for you

Have you ever gotten around to installing them? I was wondering if this ever worked out for you
