Hello, I just got my new to me Stinger GT today. I dont m ow much about suping up modern cars (was a muscle car guy!) so hoping for some expertise from those who are wiser than myself. Any tups on best place to start or best bang for your buck for performance or aesthetics would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for letting me join the family!

G’day @Damon Paden, welcome to the forum.
For starters IMHO the best mod for bang for your buck you can do is to fit Eibach front & rear swaybars.

I got one thing for you: oil catch can. After that it's OIL CATCH CAN DO IT PLEASE THE NEXT OWNER WILL THANK YOU. after that its intake and JB4. Everything else pales in comparison.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Stinger GT! What did the Stinger replace for you? As for upgrades, we have a few things in the forum store you might be interested in. Check it out. :) I’m glad you found us!

Welcome to the hive! post up some pics of your new ride when you get a chance

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Welcome and congrats Damon. Plenty of modders on this forum who will give you some advice.

Apply ceramic coating while the clearcoat is pristine. $60 and a few hours of effort will protect it for years.

Welcome to the forum. If you are into cornering feel, the upgraded rear sway bar is the best single mod you can make.

Be very careful parking. The wheels are closer to the curbs than you think. :P:thumbup:

It took me curbing a wheel to learn where it is haha. Gave me an excuse to get them powder coated though. Wish I had the 360 cam but 2018's didn't have it in the US.

Oil catch can first mod. Sway bars is the best first mod. Some will tell you CAI and a tuner, but that’s just icing on the cake after upgrading the sway bars.
Congratulations and welcome! Post some pics!

Welcome from another noob. In my humble opinion I'd say drive it like you stole it while lurking round here for the perfect mod.
I'm thinking sway bars myself.

What's a decent price to have the front and rear sway bars installed? This mods been on my list for awhile and I mayyyyy be ready to pull the trigger. These will help with the body roll in corners and minimize the rear "hopping" when going over bumps when cornering correct? Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread. I would suggest an OCC for your first mod:thumbup:

A decent price would be to do it yourself for free. Take an afternoon of it, invite a friend or family member that is mechanically inclines over for a few beers and you’ll be done in the time it takes to watch Avengers: Endgame

The rear bar is a b***h, especially the left (gas line) side (I'm just relaying several experienced install opinions). Unless you're ready for "an afternoon" of swearing and barked knuckles, get somebody at the dealership to do it. They charged me an hour of labor; the front one would be c. half an hour.

I don’t know why people had such a hard time with the rear bar. I found it easier to install than the front.

Could it be hand size:whistle:

Well, I’m not a Carnie if that’s what you’re asking. And I don’t have sausage fingers
It was a general statement and not necessarily directed at your personal mitts. Mine are not huge and I have a big box containing front and rear sways that the bride is getting tired of looking at. So I'm about to tackle the task.

1. Ceramic coating (protect your investment!!!)
2. Exhaust (negligible performance gains, imo... but the SOUND is worth it! you'll be grinning every time you rev the engine)

Just my two cents! Catch can is definitely worth considering as well. I got the Mishimoto and I'm happy with it.

My breakdown:

Long term mods:
1. Ceramic coating
2. Stone guard / "3M"
3. Custom front fender vent mesh
4. Catch can (may or may not help long term carbon build up, not definitive)

Acceleration Performance:
1. Tune or piggyback (JB4, etc) - 100+ torque for ~$500
2. Intake - Minimal power gains, nice intake sound/turbo sound gains
3. Exhaust (more sound than performance)

Handling:
1. Sway bar(s) - start with rear if only doing 1
2. Lightweight alloy wheels with tires
3. Suspension - springs and/or full set

Depends what is most important to you. If you are not going to keep the car long term, other than the cosmetic advantage of ceramic, you can skip most of those things if you can live with some rock chips while you own it. To me, if you could only make a single investment and don't mind the mild risk pertaining to warranty (it can be removed), a piggyback undoubtedly offers the single largest benefit for the price.
