New to the forum, just saying hello

Picked up a pre-owned 2018 Stinger GT2 about a year ago (birthday present from my wife) and was interested in some modifications to enhance my driving experience.
Someone mentioned this forum so I am here to check things out and maybe talk shop a bit as I learn more about modding and upgrading this wonderful car.

Cheers!

The Stinger replaced my 2010 Camaro. I had wanted to own a Camaro since the first time I sat in the backseat of a '78 Camaro, blue with white interior, new off the dealer lot way back when I was a kid. It was hard to let her go but I was excited by the Stinger and it was time for an upgrade. I had no idea what I was getting when I got the Stinger, but man oh man what a car.

I am mostly looking to increase torque right now, and to stop getting misfires on piston 1 - which seems to be a common problem.
For the misfires I am getting some new plugs but for the torque I am likely adding a JB4. From what I can tell, the previous owner of this Stinger had a JB4 installed and removed it before selling it, and my subsequent purchasing of it. I am very unfamiliar with modifications and upgrades and can just barely make my way around under the hood without getting totally lost. So I know I have a lot to learn, but I am excited to have stumbled into a car that is prime for modding. Naturally, any advice is very welcome.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Welcome to our hive!

The JB4 is a great idea if you’re looking for biggest bang for your buck. You need high performance spark plugs to go with the JB4, gapped at 0.022-0.024. I got HKS plugs gapped at 0.022. There’s Desno plugs as well. If you want your turbo spooling sound to increase with HP an intake system is a great idea. Really opens the car up and you can really appreciate the turbos. There’s a bunch of threads about what intakes and honestly whatever suites you best. I would start there when it comes to performance.

if your new plugs don't fix the misfire you'll have to replace the coil pack(s), bad / corroded coil pack or the plug boot with it will ruin new plugs. in my case it was cylinder no. 6.

I know what you mean about the Camaro. I've had a bunch myself. All 80s models between 82 and 92. Had an 87 with an L98 Corvette drivetrain that really flew... The JB4 is a great choice for the Stinger. I started using the JB tunes from Burger Tuning I guess about 14 years ago. They were in competition with another brand named Vishnu. Vishnu apparently lost that battle as I don't see them in existence anymore.
