I just went and picked up a 2019 Kia Stinger GT for my girlfriend. She absolutely loves these cars it has been very interested in them for a long time. We found a beautiful with quit a few mods.
I am a Toyota guy! Toyota and Lexus is all I have into for the past 15 years. I was a Toyota/Lexus as well as ever other technician for many years. I regularly saw their 1UZ-FE 4.0 V8 powered sedans with over a million miles. I've always loved Toyota, they are bulletproof. I've built 1jz-gte, 2jz-gte, and 1.5jz-gte all safely running 550 -900whp reliability for many years.
So this is been a very big change and a very tough decision for me but this is her car and she works hard and has wanted one for years. I did a good bit of research on these cars. I just pray these cars hold up and can stand the test of time. I'm not asking for a million miles or anything but I just hope this car will last one for years to come without any major issues.
It has over $10k in aftermarket parts. I driving it home which was a 4 hour trip. About an hour into it the "skid plate" as they call it, busted loose and started dragging on the interstate at 80mph. So that freaked me out a bit but I found a Tires Plus that was open I was able to remove what was left of the "skid plate".
The rest of the trip was nice. And I am now a Big Fan of these cars!!!! The Kia engineers went above and beyond designing these! Although I hear adjusting the rear coilovers is a pain in the dick and is easier to just remove it completely and adjust it than put it back.
So that sux! I need to raise this car at least an inch. Yes it looks great. I love It's stance but it is not worth the amount of stress and being cautious everywhere trying to navigate every little bump or driveway, anything over 3inches and you're replacing parts. I don't want to drive a car that low I certainly don't want her driving a car that low.
I don't want to drive a car that low so I certainly don't want her trying to drive a car that low. I might go with an air ride system in the future. Anyway I could probably go on for days. I really just wanted to say hey and introduce myself. I tried to post some pictures but they gave me some kind of error message. Cheers y'al!!!
