That's just it; if you can't do the buyout at significant savings, you might as well just finish the lease.

When i looked at mine new the lease would leave 2000 or so bucks i I effectivly lost if or when i purchased it and they would limit my miles to 10k a year. I do 15k to 22k a year so the lease didnt work for me.
