Hello to all members of this very interesting forum.
My name is Bruno, French national living in Dubai since 2011.
I'm a Kia user since 2014 where I "discovered" this brand with the new KIA Carens. Before this time KIA for me was a NO GO brand in terms of design and this is the first point i look at before anything else.
My Carens has proven me that this brand is strong, smart (they know how to evolve and hire the right persons for the job) and budget friendly. This car never let me down even after few incident caused by my own mistakes...
It's easy to fix and stand well in time, the car is reaching 200,000 kms and still looks pretty and working well! 2.0L engine 155HP.
When the new Sportage was released it was another confirmation that KIA was reaching new levels and then came the Stinger and since this release i've been drooling on it ^^
Now i'm almost ready to buy one from 2018 and i'm scanning each post of this wonderful forum to learn everything about it.
Thank you for reading this long post and looking forward to participate in some of the discussions.

Welcome aboard, Bruno! And thank you for signing up. You've come to the right place to research the Kia Stinger! I'm glad you found us...

Welcome Bruno, guess we are the only people from UAE.

Just test drove Stinger GT yesterday and I'm beyond impressed
, keeping in mind that i had test driven a bmw 440i, cant wait to get one.

We have only 2 trim here in UAE. 2.0 premium and 3.3 gt. Although, there are some features missing in the gcc spec, such as auto start stop, lane keep assist and bending head lights.

Howdy, you two UAE guys. I think there is at least one other forum member from UAE, but not very active, thus my uncertainty.

Hello neighbor!

Exact, only 2 trims now for 2019 and 2020. when the car was released there was 4 trims but they stop the base 2.0L and AWD 3.3L cause no much success.

I'm just disappointed that the interior comes only in Red here cause i wanted to purchase the Orange paint but with Red Interior it doesnt match at all.
So I'm going for a used model 2018 with 16,000 kms.

I didn't understand for you if you are going for the BMW or the Stinger?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Oh! Didn't event see it, maybe too quiet to be noticed...
There is lot of model in Dubai imported from US and Canada, sale guys telling me that specs are not a problem here but im pretty sure when summer will be coming with 50 degrees the wrong specs will shows their weakness.

I'm on spectate mode atm since there is a facelift rumored for 2021MY (Both for Kia and 4 series). Chances are I will be going with the Stinger. There are not many used cars listed, I have only seen a couple, a Red one and a Panthera Metal. There are a lot of options that other countries get that we don't have it here but the price is the same as those countries.

Which showroom did you visit? I went down at Sheikh Zayed Road, not the biggest one tough.

Keep us posted if you end up picking up a used one. Happy Searching :)

Hellooo to all of you,

After a transfer to Saudi Arabia and some adaptations and back and forth to Dubai, finally it's time to share my impressions and post some pictures.

First, the driving of the car is just amazing, I know the power is there so i really just cruise it and it feels good. When i feel the need or when some douch are licking my rear bump I press the gas and leave them behind, just need to be careful as one guy with a Charger felt attacked in his masculinity and get back to me on the next signal, took me from the left side and cut the road almost hitting me to be in front... Pride can be a very sensible thing sometimes.

Attached day picture when i collected it from previous owner and Night pictures with my motorcycle the day i sold it.
I find the red very deep and dark by night, love it.

Also picture with the logo received from this forum, I ordered the bigger STINGER for the back but didn't received yet so i placed the other one for now.

I'm thinking to remove all the other badges on the back (Small Stinger and GT)...

Let me know your feedback :D:D:D

If you must, then blank out your plate with dark chrome or black; it will make for a better picture.;)

(oh, and don't dangle or take the bait; there lies madness and it will only end in tears)

Ha! Believe me, I think I've unintentionally put some of these driver's in danger with how mad and shook they drive off like they'd rather die than take the loss. It's worse for me since I was moderately modded, so I was punching wayyyy above my weight and taking down cars with ease that would have stomped me if I was stock.

It's less pride and more ego, to be honest. Pride can accept a loss and just get faster, but ego? Ego leads to emotional breakdown, lol

I agree, ego is their weekness

Here is a new test for pictures, with a small adjustment for the back...

I really like V6 Stinger. Just curious will it be suitable for a family of 5. I am from Abu Dhabi. Good to know you are in KSA brother.

Howdy, and welcome. There are a growing number of Stinger owners in your parts, including KSA. The arrow straight highway between you and Riyadh should provide ample opportunities to test speed capability. @Salman and Huda had theirs up to near 170 MPH a couple of years ago. As for "family sedan", why, yes, of course, especially if you still have a little one who can sit in the middle in complete comfort.
