Heated Steering Wheel NZ / Aust

Random question but does anyone know if the 3.3l GT steering wheel is the same on NZ/Aust models as the US/Canada one? The reason for my question is that if it is (i.e. had the heating element, just not connected) then I can ask my auto electrician if he can wire it into the seat heating system and get a heated steering wheel. Not sure if it would/will work but worth an ask.

Yep, 37c here in Sydney to day just what I need is a heated steering wheel.... but seriously I have no idea.
