Heat damage (warping) to dash trim?

Anybody else have this problem? Haven't been able to find a thread on this. My only guess is the heat from parking outside did this, but I've also seen some pics of stingers on the internet with the same thing going on to varying degrees.

Howdy, and late welcome. I always use a sun shield, so the amount of heat buildup is much minimized: also where possible I park with my windshield facing north. That is a bit like saying to close the barn door once the cow is out, I know.

Haha yeah I use a sun shield now that it's gotten hotter

I'm going to update this thread. The issue has gotten about 50% worse after its second summer here in Oklahoma, even with the religious use of a sunshield. It's about 3/4in sunk in now. The black, lower portion of the windscreen glass heats up like a hotplate and that transfers through the glass to this thin trim piece. Kia has agreed to replace the dash, but has been dragging their feet on it the past year or so (can't tell if it's the dealer or corporate).

Tinting your whole windshield with a light amount of ceramic tint might help in this scenario.
I don't know the Oklahoma laws for front windshield tint, but in Texas you can do 70% of light allowed
