My headlights go on when it’s on auto all the time. Even when sunny without a cloud. At first when this happened I would click it to off, then back to auto, and this would fix it. But increasingly with time this works less and less and now I basically have to turn them off/on manually, which I wouldn’t mind except my day time running lights aren’t on when it’s in the off position.
My second problem is really weird. First week I owned the car, during its first wash, I climbed in the car after to discover the driver’s power seat to be all the way back, all the way down, and seat back all the way back. I was perplexed. My wife said maybe I hit a button while cleaning the interior, but I would have to push and hold multiple buttons to make that happen. Months went by and I forgot about it. I honestly wondered if my neighbor had snuck in and done it as a joke while by back was turned. But that wasn’t really likely at all, she’s an old lady.
But then, this morning, I climbed in and exact same thing. Power seat all the way back and down. I was the last person to drive the car, it is in our locked garage.
I’ve googled it and found some people with various older cars have a problem with a short circuit wire under the seat that can move the seat when it goes over bumps or something causes the wire to short out. But nothing in this happening to a vehicle that is turned off, not running, and parked.
So obviously I will be bringing these things up with service writer on my next service, but I really don’t know how they are going to fix a problem that has only happened twice (seat) and hate the idea of leaving it for a week while they search for the problem, which is why I’m asking here if anyone has had this happen and what the fix was.
