Noticed the other day what appears to be the seal between the rear hatch glass and the trunk starting to make ita way out.

Anyone else noticed this?20190130_183021.webp 20190130_183058.webp

That happened on mine on the driver side. I shoved it back in the gap with a panel removal tool, but I'll probably let Kia know when I bring it in so they can document it and/or fix it. You can see the area I shoved it in if you look hard enough, so they should be able to see it, I hope.

@Revvdmedia Thanks for the feedback. I did push it back in a little. Will visit the service center later in the week.

Happened on mine as well. Had them shove it back in during another service visit.

Has happened before to people on here. I thought it was caused by hatch rattle; the vibration working on the insulation over time.

Happened to mine as well, I pushed it back in with a trim tool. Clearly a common issue it seems.

Hmmm I dont have any of the seal coming off or out of mine that I could tell but I do have what I consider a pretty bad "panel gap" right in the area. I almost think it is worse since KIA did the hatch rattle fix recently. I will say they seem to have stopped the rattle but I noticed the same day I got home from the dealer it seemed to be worse. Wouldnt think anything they did would affect this but who knows. But I also recall it was never "great" when I got it. Any thoughts?

That is ill fitting. You can see the edge of the hatch window beneath it in your second pic.
