Has anyone tried Vinyl Wrapping Vents and Chrome pieces?

If anyone is interested, I have a few pics of My carbon Fiber wrap project. Because my M&S Sideliners and front diffuser didn't make it in time, I decided that I would hold off on a full set of pics until next week when those pieces will be wrapped and installed. I am most interested in reading all of your comments. I was going for a specific look that could be accomplished with readily available to all of us. I'll take all criticism as well, might be something useful there too.

Just 3M CF Wrap, wish it was real but that's not possible at this time.

I assume you wrapped these pieces while they were on the car? That's what it looks like at least. If you actually removed them from your car, how did you do it? It looks awesome, I love it.

They removed everything but the rear bumper and the steering wheel piece....wasn't there so not sure how hard it was. The hood vents have three nuts under the insulation on the bottom side of the hood.

I personally like the black chrome and it's one of the things that drew me to the look. Someone said it looked cheap, but a sticker on carbon fibre looks kinda cheap imo. @JimB, I know what you're doing, so I'll wait to see what the final product looks like before commenting and I would need to see the whole car with all the vinyl wrapping. At the end of the day, it's what you like. Who cares what anyone else thinks. People are so judgmental these days. There was a post the other day of a blue stinger with white rims. People say yuck, I say it's "different".

I love the black chrome also as that is a small detail that just helps make the car look amazing. The hood vents are less appealing to me mostly because the silver stripe in the middle of the vent looks out of place. I’m going to attempt to tint just the silver stripe to look like the black chrome and I think it will be more attractive.

That’s not a bad idea. I’d maybe go so far as black chroming the entire hood vent with vinyl wrap.

Was considering vinyl wrapping these maybe carbon fiber like the SEMA Stinger, or maybe a glossy black? I like the Dark Chrome but it seems to get dirty so fast and might match my vehicle a bit more, attached some photos of my car and the pieces I'd like to wrap (not including mirror but I would like to wrap those too.) Does that small Stinger badge not interfere with the FCA?

Black chrome spots and marks like crazy! Not the best choice I feel despite how good it looks, my mirrors always look spotty.

Get your black chrome covered in film and it u won’t have any issues cleaning it. If u don’t get film then trying hand drying the black chrome with a towel after car washes and u will get rid of the water spots.

Did that stinger bags on the front radar unit have any affect on your adaptive cruise control or automatic braking ?

But this is a good question, the adaptive cruise seems to work, I've never had the auto braking happen to me so I'm not sure if it could be related and I'm a bit scared to test that haha.

give your chrome a good waxing and the spots will come off and stay cleaner

I do believe that you could just get an empty cardboard box and put it in the street and give it a shot , maybe put a piece of aluminum foil on it.
