Just wondering if anyone had found it necessary to get
rid of their stinger, and if so, how did it fare in the resale department?

You’re kidding right! Lol
I’m never selling her!

Sell?

I love the car too. My last car was an Audi RS4, and I'm more impressed by my stinger. However, I'm in the middle of a house remodel/addition that has gone incredibly sideways in the last couple months and I may actually have to let the stinger go :-( just made me wonder if I would get killed on resale....

Don’t fret, they are saying that it will be one of the best hold there value cars for a long time. All you will lose ismdealer costs etc after purchase price, say $2-3k

You may find potential buyers on this forum. Many like myself are on here getting info in advance of purchasing. What model do you have and what state are you in?

That would depend on how much he paid. New to used depreciation can be has high as 20% from MSRP.
So if he got a great deal/discount he may only experience a $3k loss, but if he paid MSRP or more the loss will be much higher.

Thanks everyone for your input! I live in Alaska, so my pool of buyers is not going to be as large as if I lived in the lower 48. On the other hand, the dealership here is not going to let you out the door with a gt2 for less than $62k. This they have only sold two or three. I flew down to Washington, got my gt2 with 19" wheels for $50k even and paid $1500 to ship it up. Immediately bought a $1500 set of winter tires on a spare set of rims, ordered the Loden badge kit (which still hasn't been produced, so I haven't rebadged yet) and a color matched (aurora black pearl) type S spoiler, which also hasn't shown up yet. The car has 1700 miles now and no known issues. Since a buyer up here is going to pay $62k locally, does it seem reasonable that I could get close to 50 with all the extras I've added?
Thanks again!

unless said buyer is clever enough to come to lower 48 and do what you did...i too am hopeful for high residual value for the "just in case" scenario.

If you do sell, what would you buy?
Honestly, I would probably get another one a year or two down the road (maybe the hypothetical GT-R?) as I have have a truck I can drive if I need to let it go.
