Has anyone seen a VW Arteon? Compared to the Stinger?

I'd been watching this one, but in the U.S., it's a 2019 model. No 6-cyl offered, so it won't compete with the GTs.

Yes. I drive one. Stunning car. The interior is nicer than the Stinger. Performance not as good. Also engine is too small. Great option as an alternative though!

I agree, it doesn’t appear to be a direct competitor from a performance perspective, but probably will be for the non-GT‘s. I’d say VW has the leg up on brand credibility, except for that whole diesel thing skewing public perception (myself included). I am very glad to see hatchbacks gaining a larger market in the US, though.

I also found out that pricing is really not comparable... The VW is like 20-25k more??? Nicer interior for sure but definitely not worth that type of premium for a car that doesnt perform as well.

The Arteon is only $5k more in NZ. The interior and infotainment system in it really are top notch!
