I'm wondering if anyone has tried this? i know getting to the plugs is a pain in the butt and that if you are going in there you might as well just replace them. I'm just wondering if reducing the gap is even worth it on a stock car. I noticed under full throttle my car seems to spew unburnt fuel out the back, wonder if closing the gap would reduce that and possibly increase efficiency.

As mentioned above there are multiple threads on this topic.

Maybe a silly question but can I re-gap my stock plugs with my stock boost and no tune? Or do I have to tune my car to re-gap my plugs?

And would I see a difference in power by just re-gapping without tuning?

Thank you

You can re-gap if you would like. The stock gap seems too big for even stock boost. You'll more than likely need to re-gap for a tune though, .24 to .28 is ideal. I don't think you'll gain any power, but you will prevent spark plug blow out and efficiency. Plus setup for future modding.

See, i start a thread to ask about this type of stuff not to clog up this one. Thread locked.

Agree completely. It would be a good idea for everybody to gap their plugs to .024 - .028. Much closer than that and it could create other issues.
