Has anyone ever made the body panel side LEDs instead of painting them the same color as the car

Has anybody may the side panel reflective lights in the back LEDs? and light up? instead of color matching them

Sequential turn signal for the reflector strip?

I know they make a sequential turn signal for the bottom rear reflectors but anybody ever thought about or do they make something for the reflector strip? Seems like that would be a good use of the strip. Something that comes on with the turn signals would be cool I think.
