I just bought a 2022 GT2 AWD and I'm looking for good winter tires. Unfortunately with the staggered wheel sizes they are very few selections. If I find a pair of rims from the front for the rear or vice versa, is that plausible? Or can I use the GT line 18s instead?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! And congratulations on your new Stinger GT! I'm moving this topic out of the community lounge and into the Stinger wheels forum. By the way, what did you replace with the Stinger?

I had a 2000 Toyota Tundra v8. So the gas mileage on the stinger is way better!

Welcome to the hive - most people go to 18's and 225 on all four corners for a winter setup - depending on where you are there are a few people in the classifieds selling their winter setups

Do I need to modify anything else or is it just the normal putting on tires scenario?

Thank you for the feedback!

Could I also put the 255s on all four corners?

you might rub up front with 255 tires especially on 8.5 wide rims. the offset on the oem rear wheels is rather extreme over 46. you could use spacers to get clearance. use a pro shop and you wont have to ask the forum questions and get answers you can't vet.

I just ordered a set of Pirelli Weatheractive All-Weather tires to put on my stock GT1 wheels for my winter set up. I have a nice set of wheels for summer, and don't need a third set of wheels and tires.

I've had 2 sets of winters so far.,.

1st on steels, and now on these Aluminum

225/45 r18 all 4 corners
The steelies were economical, but the aluminum are much better looking and stronger.

Square set up is definitely more popular for winter set up. It depends on the offset of the wheels to determine if they will clear the front Brembo calipers. If you want a quote for a turn-key wheel/tire winter package. Feel free to send me a DM and I am happy to provide some options for you.

I went with a square 18 setup with 245/45/18 Hankook Ipike . With an 8.5 ET40 wheel . Fits great and performs amazing. Feels like it gave the car about an inch lift as well . Taller , softer sidewall .
My roads are crap here in Eastern WA, we have had snow and ice on the ground for 6 weeks already.

What elevation are you at? studs! it looks like you need them though. love the wheels.

Were at 2150 ft . They do pretty good at clearing the main roads and freeway but we have a sloped driveway into a single garage with a rock wall on one side, and a 35 min kid commute to school into a higher elevation. We also go to western Montana and Seattle a few times a year.
Nothing beats studs on solid ice in the mornings.
