GT2 Funky Steering

Has anyone experienced any strange steering issues? I have experienced intermittent surging or pulsing. This has been in the eco, comfort, and sport driving mode. When it occurs, it seems to be at speeds in excess of 60 mph. It's nothing dramatic, just a little jerk or a quick stiffening. The dealer couldn't duplicate the event. It was suggested that it was the lane departure, which engages at 45 mph and therefor normal. The next step is to take a maintenance tech with me on a long highway drive. If anyone else has noticed anything a little strange let me know.

Sounds like lane assist to me.

As Clearly Canadian said it does sound like the lane keeping assist, it can be adjusted in the instrument cluster so it wouldn’t be too aggressive.

You can reset the LKA (Lane Keep Assist) to just Lane Warning so it just gives you a little audible warning but doesn't nudge the steering wheel. Next time you encounter the behavior, turn on your turn signal and see if it goes away. If so, that's LKA.

I found the front tires over inflated at 42 P.S.I. from factory, after reducing pressure no more handling issues.

Where do you have them now? My fronts are 42 and my rear are 39.

Pressures for the 18" tires may be different. Check the door sticker.

They are. I believe 36 front, 39 rear.
