Hey Everyone:
Firstly, Sal, thanks for putting this forum together. I'm a long time car enthusiast and gadget nut, who switches cars way too often for my own good.
My biggest factors when choosing cars are:
1. Fun to drive.
2. Safe (I really appreciate active safety mechanisms for day to day driving, and of course passive safety too).
3. Practicality - need to comfortably fit in my wife, 11-year old daughter, plenty of luggage, must have 4 doors so the daughter or other passengers aren't struggling to get in each time, etc.
4. Some level of luxury (a great sound system is important to me, heated seats too, but I can live without cooled seats, 16 different seat adjustments, etc, although I'm not complaining that my GT2 has these
).
5. Anonymity - I'd far rather drive a Q ship, than a car that screams - look at me, I'm fast as all get go, or look at the BMW I can afford (Ok, I admit the Stinger is a head turner, but I love that it's a Kia, and not a BMW).
Other than the car side of things, I'm married, with an 11-year old daughter. I love music of all kinds, and sing a lot in my car when there are no passengers to complain ;-). I work for a Cyber Security company in DC, managing professional services, sales engineering and knowledge mgmt/E-learning. I dabble a bit in piano, and I spend a fair amount of my spare time volunteering for BeTheMatch.org.
Looking forward to participating in this forum.
Cheers
