Looks like a 1/4 run. I don't understand why they would be playing cat and mouse if you are trying to get the best time. * puzzled*

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I agree. Looks to me like a bad start by the Stinger and a bad ending by the Mustang.

*Edit: Mustang owner said he hit the rev limiter at the end of the race.

Fair enough - if it's a manual in particular, he may have thought the change would cost him.more time than tapping the rev limiter. It would explain the late pull-away by the Stinger.

well , lets see , who was operating the camera .............................yup the Mustang guy . I'm holding with it

The car the camera is attached to has very little to do with it, other than explaining the perspective.

I'm not doubting the explanation, just pondering the mechanics of hitting the rev limiter, and the impact that then has on times/trap speeds, etc.

I know 0-100km/h (or 0-62mph) times can be impacted quite severely by whether one or two gear-changes are required - the first of the WRX STI cars with the 6-speed gearbox had an unusually slow 0-100 time because 2nd gear topped out just before 100km/h and a gear-change was required. The same can absolutely happen at the end of a quarter mile (hopefully not at the top end of 2nd gear though :)).

From the Mustang owner's YT comment on his video:

"Mustang-CAI and catback Stinger-unknown, probably stock

Advance track was ruining all my runs cutting power randomly as seen when he passes me
then I start catching up. Then I hit the limiter in 4th gear and it ruined my pass. Now I have rod knock from
my car leaking all its oil without telling me.
13.3 for the Mustang at 98mph.
13.1 for the Stinger at unknown speed."
