GT or GT1?

Only you can decide if the additional features are worth the additional expense. For me the 360º camera, HUD, shift-by-wire, and auto opening hatch were a requirement (those are GT2 features, of course). If I could only choose between the GT and GT1, the sunroof and vented front seats are the only features that would push me to the GT1. I don't listen to radio/music or use the built-in nav.

I was torn with this very decision. I wanted the upgraded audio, adaptive suspension, and ventilated seats. But in the end, I went with the more affordable GT. Getting the white exterior and red interior combo I wanted also helped me feel better about it. Only been a few weeks but no regrets with my choice.

Good luck with your selection process!

Harman Kardon and sunroof were the only two things I had to have that the GT didn't have.

Close to 1 year with my GT and no regrets.

I've got 14.5K miles on my AWD GT after 16 months and I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money on a GT1 or GT2. By far, it's the motor and unique body style that makes this car what it is. My wife and I are doing a two-week Mediterranean vacation this fall and the cost is about the same as the price difference between the GT and GT2. Get the GT, enjoy the ride, and spend the extra making someone else happy.

I wanted a GT but in January of 2018 the color choices were extremely limited. I ended up with a GT1 but for me the extras aren't worth the price.

The HK sound system isn't particularly good. At low speeds the sunroof sounds like a creaking door in a haunted house. And I use AA instead of Kia's navigation.

For me HK is awesome pretty comparable to my Bang and Olufsen of my R8. Get the best the GT2 if you are not in a busget. Whatever u choose is an awesome car.

I didn't care about the sunroof but the ventilated seats and HK sound was a must for me.

I didn't want to regret my decision a year from now and not get everything I wanted so I got the GT2, life is short be happy.

My policy. Life is short. Enjoy it thoroughly. Always buy as much car as you can afford. Driving is a Pita, and the more toys makes the driving experience better for me.

Plus. I'm a speed, luxury, and utility oriented person. I had to have the GT2 and don't regret buying it. I've driven a GT, GT1, and a premium while getting oil changes, etc. None of them satisfy me like the GT2.

Get the gt2 U won’t regret. I too was is in the same boat. But decided to spend the extra money and I’m glad I did.

I'm very happy with my GT1. I love having a sunroof, the H&K system is good, and the head unit is better. Worth the couple thousand to me.

Extremely happy with my decision on the GT2. Features and creature comforts were worth the additional expense to me. NO regrets after a year of ownership.

I originally considered getting a 2018 but then when I really looked at what the 2019 GT2 had over everything else I'd rather spend the money now and be happy for many years then regret not doing it and wanting to upgrade.

Totally jealous that you have the 2019! :) I have the 2018 GT2 and I wish I had waited just for the 360 deg camera system! Ugh!

Yes but you have AWD and I'm hoping I don't regret not getting that :)

Only thing the GT1 had I was willing to actually pay money for was the HK audio. Maybe..maybe, the upgraded screen and cluster. Everything else I didn't care for and I don't want a sunroof, especially the ones on this car that seem to have a tendency to raise issues. At the GT2's price point, other cars overtake the Stinger for me.

This question is the same as asking : Should I get the Audi V10 or the V10 plus... Of course get the V10 plus with the BO sound system and all the shabang! Why settle for less if you can afford it? Life is short and sweet.
