Hello Forum, I was recently driving my base 2.0 on the interstate at 75mph in the dark before sunrise and noticed 2 cars with hazards on in the left side shoulder. Since I was in the left lane of 3 lanes, I changed lanes to the middle lane so as not to be close to the stopped cars in the median/shoulder. As I changed lanes it was then that I smacked into the luggage item in the middle lane that must have fallen off one of the stopped vehicles. This was frightening as I have never collided with something this big going this fast in my life. I heard a loud noise and lifting of the passenger side of my car as I drove over the large object...this resulted in a cracked bumper cover, torn right fender lining, torn lower deflector, dented right fender and scratch of lower fender grille and door. Anyway, I am going to have some body work completed and was thinking of getting the GT bumper cover instead of the 2.0. Besides the obvious need for new upper and lower grilles, and front vent grilles are there any other differences between the fit for the GT vs 2.0? I have looked at part numbers and it seems as thought the fender liners and lower deflectors are identical in price GT and 2.0 and may even be the same part. Has anyone tried to put a GT front onto a 2.0? Any insight is much appreciated. I enjoy the 2.0 engine and look and am disappointed to have the misfortune of crashing into a huge object that fell off someones car. However, I would like to take this opportunity to possibly add to the styling of the vehicle. Let me know your thoughts or if I have overlooked anything, such as sensor compatibility etc, etc...
