I’ve been messaging with EBC North America about the newly released two piece fully floating rotors and asked if they’d be interested in doing a group buy.
The answer was yes (depending on interest of course). Once I have an idea on the level of interest I’ll present a number to EBC and they’ll inform of the discount being offered. This will likely be shared in a PM due to MAP policies.

With that said please indicate if you’d be interested in a group buy for the EBC SG2FC7795 Two Piece Fully Floating Front Rotors for all 2017+ GT KIA Stingers (Brembo brakes).
Regarding pads, Yellowstuff, Redstuff and Greenstuff are available.

Retail price is listed as:
$896 USD for rotors
$125.77 Yellowstuff pads
$109.36 Redstuff pads
$99.42 Greenstuff pads

I was told in addition to CONUS, our Canadian, Alaskan and Hawaiian friends would all be welcome to join in. Shipping has yet to be indicated.

These rotors are weighing in at 8.5Kg/18.73lbs. According to unrelated sources the OE rotors weigh 11.4Kg/25.13lbs.

A difference of 6.4lbs per side.

I asked about the regular replacement rotors and the possibility of rear two piece rotors and was told the replacement (one piece) rotors are awaiting release and the rear two piece rotors are expected to be released later this year. I received no answer regarding other pad compounds aside from yellow, red, green.

Does one just replace the outer portion after they get too thin? Is that cheaper?

No. It’s definitely more expensive. The rotor system performs better and the rotor hat is aluminum which allows faster acceleration and braking due to less rotating mass; and also less unsprung weight.

There’s nothing financially sensible about the upgrade :D

Edit: Slightly better gas mileage.

Can't wait to see all the lap time improvements with this..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
OMG just saw this.

You must work in marketing!!

Not remotely. I noticed the Tesla guys actually getting higher efficiency from wheels and rotors.

He was looking for a financial benefit to doing this. The savings in fuel will never ever justify the cost. These mods are performance/vanity only and only result in empty bank accounts, high credit card balances and angry wives.

I strongly caution all Stinger owners to leave their cars stock and lead simple worry free lives.

You will see increased MPG when you lighten rotational mass. It makes for less rolling resistance which equals better gas mileage. This goes for rotors, wheels, tires, driveshaft. For tires the tread pattern and tire compound plays just as much of a role as tire weight though.

Considering the current uncertain times and what is already not going to be a hugely popular purchase I’m going to close this feeler due to lack of interest.

Might be better to wait until the one-piece replacement rotors are available anyway.
