What would be a great price before t+t+l on a leftover 18GT AWD that has been sitting at a dealer for over a year? The car was not a demo, but does have a little test drive mileage on it.

Or would you be better off going to the 2019 MY? I am trying to get at least a 19 GT1 or 18 GT2 features. Trying to get as as cheap as I can. Problem is I will have to finance probably around half of the car. I do not qualify for loyalty or conquest or any of the stuff unfortunately.

@CarBrad A great price on a leftover '18 would be around $35k before TTL.
@Jay B.

Wow, that low? MSRP was 53,000 on the car. Granted it is a leftover. They want around 40,000 for it. So would you say that is a bad deal?

Best I can seem to do in my area is either about $39k on a 19 GT1 AWD using the lease buyout nonsense.

or on this 18 GT2. maybe I could talk them down. Pretty sure they'd laugh if I offerred 35k.

It looks like either way around or right around 40k before ttl is what I am looking at. I should mention that I am in the US.

@CarBrad They were offering 7-8k discounts plus the lease rebate earlier this year on leftover '18. The rebate ended on the 18s but the dealers with leftovers got something like 10k for each one from corporate. 35K is not an unreasonable goal. The '20s will be out soon.

@Jay B. yeah, I would imagine as the 20s start to roll in they would have to be super motivated to sell that car. 2 years sitting on a dealer lot is a looong time. but who knows, dealers can be strange. Some just completely refuse to sell it at a loss. You would think at some point they would auction it off or something.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
@Jay B.Pretty sure they'd laugh if I offerred 35k.

Then laugh back at them and say “You haven’t sold this car in over a year. What makes you think you can sell it now?”

Tell them to give you a call when they are ready to sell it for $35k. You have a lot more leverage than you think.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a 2018 just because I couldn’t live without the all around camera. However, other people wouldn’t mind that at all.

Here is a 2019 AWD GT2 listed for just over $30k. I am sure it isn’t real but it would be good to find out if it is or not.

Well, they will. But you're not going to hang around for that, are you!? :D

I think that $35K is a great price. But will you settle for good instead? $40K is good. If everything is "perfect": paint, interior, the works. Oh, and no extraneous noises either; a tight sunroof, no flaws. ETC. If you see anything at all that you can live with, hit them hard with the imperfections and bring the price down.

They have said $39k is their final offer. Which, I don't think is particularly strong because you can get a 2019 GT1 or GT2 for about that using lease buyout. I told them 37K. We will see what they do.

@MerlintheMad - Nah, I will probably end up buying a 2019 if they can't come down a little more. Doesn't make sense to take a year older car and a first model year car to save maybe only $1000 or so.
