It was to do with marketing and pricing ... nothing else. It wasn't like someone at Kia said "Screw the Yanks, let them scuff those wheels!"

As far as pricing goes it seems here in the US if you do a little dealing you should get between two and 3000 off sticker . And if you lease it you can get up to $7400 rebate turn around and buy it after the first payment. I would be totally surprised if it costs more than $1000 to put the 360 cameras and it's only three more cameras and some wiring and they buy them in bulk. I would understand a supply excuse like they have with the LSD ( Limited slip differential ) . As far as scuffing my wheels I'll park in the middle of the street if I have a problem with the curb , or go to the local auto parts store and buy some of those good old fashion chromed curb feelers , that look like you're trying to pick up some FM radio station from hell or Harp.
