I bought my black 2019 Kia Stinger GT this summer in Maryland. I needed a new car. My 2012 Chevy Volt was stolen out in California, and I was selling my 2004 Neon SRT-4. I considered the Genesis G70, but decided I needed the extra rear seat legroom of the Stinger. I have managed to put over 10,000 miles on it in less than 6 months. It's great on the highway, and effortlessly accelerates to 100 mph when needed for passing. Of course, if I floor it to pass a line of trucks, it gets up closer to 140 mph.

Yep, I've done that "line passing" thing a few times. And 140 definitely is within reach. Welcome to the forum. :)

I've done most of my driving in the ECO mode. But when I was following my stepson down a twisty road near Franklin, TN, I had to switch to SPORT mode to keep up with his Porsche GT3T. I may be old, but I still like to drive fast. I like the fact that the Stinger is not really a ticket me now car. I got stopped for doing 75 in a 55 zone. The cop wrote me a warning ticket. I saw why it was a warning ticket, when I read Kia Optima. I'm sure it would have been a real ticket, if he saw Stinger.

Lol. Don't be so sure. Something about Baby Boomer guys in this car seems to soften a cop's feelings. I've had four warnings; two for being extra legal (15 and nine above respectively); one for pulling around a cop already going the speed limit and passing him; his warning was, "you don't pass a cop." (I didn't know he was a cop beforehand or you can count on it, I would not have passed him.:D) Last one was for running a stop sign. He visibly mellowed as I tried to defend why I hadn't seen him immediately as he turned his flashers on and followed me into a service station. Very strange coply behavior, as I have never seen in my entire life: and other than my being the age I am, the only other factor is this car: I think that they like looking at it. The last cop who warned me for my running the stop sign, asked what I think about the Stinger; and said he'd seen them on the lot when he helped his son buy an Optima recently. Other than that one comment, no one has said anything about the Stinger. The TX cop who pulled me over for nine above stood behind my rear bumper staring at the car for what felt like a full minute; he was definitely checking out a car he'd never seen before (this happened in April of '18).
