Hi all,

Proud new owner of an Aus spec GT. Went into the dealership driving a silver Ford Ranger, left owning a black Stinger!

2 things I've noticed so far; people stop and stare and everyone wants to race.

I don't mind the staring and so far every car that had tried to race has been disappointed. I know the Kia is faster so I don't need to race. It's one of those Kung Fu things I suppose "we train to fight so we might not need to fight".

Anyway thanks for having me and I look forward to speaking with you all down the track.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! Sorry to hear about you constantly being harassed to race. Get used to it! So - do you know any Kung Fu?

I actually do. I studied Wing Chun for a time.

Yeah the whole racing thing is terrible for the ego. Knowing everyone wants a piece of the Stinger makes the ego inflate to a point where it's hard to get out of the car.

I'll lose my job of I don't get it though...

G'day back at ya there are quite a few Victorians on the forum, for more Oz info and views you can go to "regional stingers "and look for "Stingers down under" . I'm in Nsw and we just had our third drive meet on Saturday. Welcome.

@BassCoaster: The "Zen" of Stinger driving. I totally agree: "they" will just have to live with disappointment. What do we have to prove? Take a lesson from Marty McFly: anyone who disses you because you won't race is an "a**hole".
