Gas Tank

Yup... either the tank is nowhere near the 15.9 gal they say it is, or the ECU calculation of miles until empty is WAY off. Many have commented on this.. it’s a head scratcher for sure.

It's just a float sensor, old school; even if the connected electrics are new. Someone on here had a coil break and the wire was sticking out: that produced some "interesting" readings.

The closest I've pushed mine was last week: 17 Range left. Sorry, I didn't look to see how many gallons it took, so I can't contribute to this "scientific study". :P

No car manufacturer is going to design a system that equates 0 miles remaining to an empty tank. There's an additional factor of safety in there. It's not a good idea to push it past 0, and at some point you risk damaging the fuel pump. I've gone ~5 miles beyond 'digital' empty, and I'm pretty sure there's still at least a gallon of fuel remaining, but it's not something i plan to find out.

You americans are too cheap gas.:rofl:

Ugh. Just paid $4.39/91
I use to casually go 40-50 miles past 0 on my Mustang. I’ve yet to go past 5 miles to empty with the Stinger

What’s the price in Sweden?
Roughly 2x per gallon than in the us.

EDIT: Did some quick calculation online, seems i pay around $7/gallon for 98RON
