I made sure my Stinger came with the accurate fuel readout option. Never have a problem with the gauge. I have noticed if that if a gallon or two is added when the remaining miles are right around zero that it may not increase the miles remaining though the gauge will show an increase in fuel level. Thougb you never want to run completely out of fuel (fuel is required for cooling the fuel pump), I sometimes take it beyond 0 miles to "--". There's still at least a gallon in there even when you are beyond empty...but you definitely don't want to push it beyond a handful of miles if you want your fuel pump to last.
