I am having an issue where i am getting some smoke coming from the drivers side turbo area. Its only noticeable when the car turned off after driving. The issue is also intermittent. Seems to happen more often the more high temp the engine is. If i whip it around with the engine temp like at 170 or 180 doesn't seem to happen but if i get into at with the engine temp 200+

. The car spent three days at the shop and they couldn't recreate the issue. They said they examine the entire area around the turbo and stated they couldnt spot any burning oil residue as well as checking the turbo oil line. The shop has a good reputation and they have done work for me before so i dont think they are bullshiting me.

There isnt really a performance loss that i can tell. I am just kind of out of ideas on what to due. I don't want to drive it around and have something go boom.

Its a 2018 with 84K miles

What do you guys think?

'some smoke' get a video of this. how much is 'some?' comes and goes can't be reproduced in three days, really that must be frustrating as you say. you didn't say what the shop's hypotheses are, they look and don't find but don't have any ideas? I have nothing except interest. mods? intermittent as in when you romp down on the gas, engage boost, must be the turbo which is oiled and that would be scary.

The shop stated that must be a small leak somewhere, but they would need to take apart then entire turbo assembly area to get a closer look. They said there is no evidence of oil on the exterior parts of the turbo or evidence of coolant burning. They are hesitant to take everything apart for an issue they can't reproduce. They said they would do it if I wanted but yeah labor cost.

BMS Intake Borla Exaust and JB4 on Map 1 are what the car has been running on.

Intermittent as i have taken the car for 20 min drive and no issue but sometimes on a 5 min drive it happens.

do you engage boost when you go on your five minute drives because that would not be treating the machinery well. could cause all kinds of problems with turbos and the works if you do that routinely. we're supposed to let the car get up to operating temperature before making demands.

I always let the engine get up to temp before stomping on it that was just a figurative example. Yeah some of these short drives have been on highways with pretty decent levels of boost

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You dont specify which JB4 map youre running in your earlier post. What map?
