Wondering if anyone has had trouble with their front parking sensor not registering while in drive. Seems that when i park in my garage its not really noticing the stuff at the front of the garage. But when I put it in park it lights up.

Make sure it is on. :) If the light is off, so are the sensors.

hah! that would be hilarious if thats the reason why.

That's what was "wrong" with mine. It suddenly stopped working. I had inadvertently shut it off. :)

from my experience, the front only activate once you start going really really slow. When I park, I slow down to a crawl before getting to the parking stop so it'll find it, if I go in at a normal parking speed it just doesn't see it.

 What is "normal parking speed" to you? I always idle with my foot on the brake, i.e. veeery slowly easing into my parking spot. And yes, the sensors were not working. I asked about it here and someone pointed out that the light on the parking sensor "ON" position has to be lit. This was not immediately apparent to me, since the ISG light has to be lit for the ISG to be in the "OFF" position. So, some lights mean "OFF" and some lights mean "ON". You just have learn which is which.

The environment learning curve! And the manual isn't all that helpful because it is it's own environment that one must become accustomed to. I made the manual my bedside read for weeks, and fell asleep reading it. :D

I don't have that issue but mine has gone off quite a bit recently at red lights when i'm not moving.

Thus the "luxury" of the on/off button. So many things can set sensors off, many of those things being invisible to the human eye, many of those things being atmospheric or even something internal. These are very sensitive sensors. Just dipping into a gutter can set one of them off. If they get to be too noisy, then I will turn them off until I am ready to park.
