For those of us who have 2018 Stingers, we did not get the front parking sensors. I was looking online and it seems you can purchase these. Only catch is you'll have to find the right colour. Also curious to know if our instrument panel will pick up the front bumper alerts with the audible sound. Apparently for this one I found on TB, you don't need a dedicated button to activate. Just put it into reverse for 1 sec., then to drive and the front sensors activate. These ones are for the '16-'17 K5. Curious to know where those connectors connect to and if this could work on our Stingers.

Interesting, is this only on the Canadian models that it doesn't have the front parking sensors?

Not sure, but wouldn't be surprised if other markets were missing this feature. You know Kia likes to dick around and short change everyone.

I wonder if the rear sensors are compatible with the front. Seeing as how they sell these parts individually, one could technically request the dealer to order them.

Check the part numbers on a parts supply site. I need some trim/panel retention clips (two missing from factory) and it's the same part number across virtually every KHG vehicle.

The Canadian market top trim in 2018 didn't get front parking sensors, the American cars did. The Canadian cars had the 360 degree camera feature, which the American market cars lacked.

I'm fine with just the camera view of the front - if there's ever a concern about front objects/curbs, I just turn on the front camera view to see where things are. I also like the clean bumper cover surface without the sensor 'buttons'.

I've had the front bumper cover off my car, and there is only a single wiring harness connector for the front camera - though it's possible whatever pins and/or connectors that are needed for the parking sensors are present but not used. Haven't checked the wiring diagrams.

Front parking sensors don't detect curbs anyway, just taller/larger objects.

They do, however, like to bark at you when you put the vehicle into reverse to back out of a garage, or parking space against a wall - even though you were far enough away that they never went off when you were pulling in!!

The camera must be really nice though, I wish ours had that. It's interesting that they chose to do things so differently depending on the market.

I don't know what it is with this car, but I can never judge how much space I have in front of me. Maybe my seat is too low. Doesn't help that my car is lowered and has a splitter. I always use the 360 camera to check how much space I have in the front. Gets a bit annoying though, thought this might have been a good alternative. I also feel a little cheated of not having this feature!
