Anyone ever f*ck up your front bumper yet? Trying to park and you scrape it up on the cement stop block? I did it today...I was tired and didn’t even realize it until I heard the Gawdamn scrape. It even was out of alignment. I wonder how much that is gonna cost. I’m so pissed and depressed. Just totally did not realize how low this car is. Anyways...I’ll post pics later, mabe I can even do it myself, but just the hurt and inconvenience it is. Anyone ever do this yet! How bad? Pictures. Just venting...thanks

dude, it's a thing. Hurt? Calm down. Just a thing.

Things are built by men, and they are made to be repaired.

Chill...

Darn bummer.
One thing I love about mine is the cams, turn on the view and I can see the barrier.
Hubby always says why are you creeping into the parking spot! He whom has barrier hit with at least 4 of our cars, tore off the under stuff on one car. (He does not drive mine!)

What kind of cams? Is that on the GT2?

I get nervous about the same thing...especially coming from a truck. Had to parallel park in Jersey City last night. Few open spots but all had large chunks of snow/ice. Took my time (and shoveled). Safe for now.

Back in everywhere. Problem solved.
Everyone back in parks in Korea. It took awhile getting used to, but now I feel awkward front parking. I don't want to be the only car with my butt sticking out. I guess there are other benefits too.

Anyway, OP sorry about your luck. At least it sounds like its only cosmetic. Good luck with getting it fixed.

Wait for a few months . you'll do it again ...............then go get it fixed ...........I'm in the same boat !

That is my worst nightmare. I've threatened the wife with a beater car if she bangs up the front bumper when she can turn on ' view '. So far so good although she got a wheel scraped yesterday(another thread).
Sorry for the bad luck. It can all be fixed but I know the disappointment.

Almost. All on the underside. Lucked out. Learned/reminded not to approach any curb or stanchion without assuring early stopping.
This is after I touched it up, a month later, after it was warm enough for the paint to work, heh.

Bad luck Mike. This is why I always reverse in when parking.

Ouch Merlin. I suppose it passes your 'can't see from 6 feet away' test. ;)

I have done exactly that. Please check that your front underbody shield is secure. I did not check mine and it worked itself loose at the front and quickly became an airdam at highway speeds with resulting breaks. Get it checked and fixed asap and learn from your mistake. I did.
Good luck

Yes the GT2 the alarms sound the view shows you the barrier. I use view anytime I park can see the curb I hug to protect my doors and the barrier in front. And the car goes crazy if you get to close to it.

I'm just thinking this might be more of a nightmare:

In March 2020, Cordero was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was admitted to hospital on March 30.[18] His wife reported that he was in critical condition, on a ventilator, and being treated with dialysis and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).[19] On April 18, 2020, his right leg was amputated due to a blood clot as a result of complications from his illness.[20] By May 1, 2020, he had major lung damage including "holes in his lungs," and successfully had a tracheostomy tube placed.[21][22][23][18]

On July 5, 2020, after 95 days in the hospital, Cordero died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at age 41.

But hey, maybe that's just me...

You are so young for such a large stick to be up your ass. I didn't become as abrasive as you until I hit my mid-30s. You're really on the fast track. (assuming the numbers in your name represent your birthyear)

There is a covid board. I recommend it to you highly. This is a car forum, enthusiasts, even. So "worst nightmare" should be taken in that context. Your attitude is certainly justified, without any of us knowing the details. And I don't want to know. Thank you.
