Hi all,

Im looking for a good front/rear dual dashcam to protect my pride and joy.

Ive used several Amazon cams in the past that i wouldnt trust my baby with (granted all were sub $100). After 6 months, they've either started to hang or shutoff completely, and one of them even popped out its micro sd card while i was driving! Looking to spend a bit more for my Stinger, but I wanna make sure it won't fail on me when I'd need it most.

Do you have any you'd recommend? Thanks!

I actually have one installed myself. It is a dual channel which is what you want. I have had it for over a year and it has worked great. My only issue is sometimes the suction cup will fail and it will fall. Now this is easily fixed just prepping the surface better by cleaning. But it rarely happens.

I installed it myself which wasn't an issue. I have it hardwired and it will shutoff on it's own after it detects low voltage from battery. Now this is only $100 but again, it has worked great!

Too many times have the $100 failed for me (usually when I need video).

bite the bullet and buy a hood one (like BlackVue). They don’t stop working just because they are hot/on all the time.

I use an Escort M1 cam in the front, and a Vantrue camera, with GPS, in the rear window. The Vantrue gets switched between cars, depending on what I am driving that day. I have never had any problems with either camera.

I went with a Nextbase 622gw dual channel. Love it. 4K resolution, Alexa voice activation, parking monitor, image stabilization. Pricey but worth it IMO.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I recommend BlackVue, been using them since 2013 in both my mine & my wife’s car.
Excellent video quality & easy to set up & use.

I have Blackvue 750s 2 channel with Power Magic Pro.

Seems Blackvue has quite a following here, Ill definitely check that out.

The Nextbase may be a bit out of my range, and not sure i need Alexa integration, but will add that to the list just in case.

The APEMAN is intriguing, good to hear theres a $100 cam that isnt total crap lol. If the suction is a problem, i think i saw a mount on Amazon that attaches the cam to the rearview mirror.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I also have a Blackvue 750x 2channel that I got in December. I used the BlendMount rearview mirror mount, expensive but well made and worth the cost, imo. It's a clean install and I didn't want one more thing stuck to my windshield.

Also purchased mirror taps to power it from BlendMount. I kept breaking the taps and gave up on that. Currently powering it by running the 12v power cord to the back seat socket in the center console. That's not a permanent solution, I'm going to try Positaps to tap into the mirror again.
