Does that seem heavy to you? I don’t know a lot about these things but it seems a tad heavy for racing to me. The V8 Supercars we race in Australia come in a couple of hundred lbs lighter than that.

Well not really given this essentially is a stock Kia with stripped interior plus a “roll cage”. Looks like all steel body panels. And it has boat anchor automatic trans. Certainly could knock off more with composite doors, hood, hatch, fenders.

A nice sequential gearbox would likely drop 100 lbs. another 100 to 150 lbs for composite body work. Looks like they have stock glass in windshield and rear hatch too. It’s not a well developed car yet - lots of stock parts or aftermarket street stuff bolted on. But still cool to see it.

.... Kia could run in super car events with their V8 in a car that is built to similar dimensions as a stinger. I’m a big fan of the super car events in Australia ! I’d love to get there some day to see in person.
