Excellent movie. Two thumbs up :thumbup: 9.5 out of 10 (because no movie can be perfect). Casting excellent. No slow spots (for a racing movie that's a good thing:p). Plenty of family relating and romance (no sex), so the ladies will enjoy this very involving story of Ken Miles the family man, while the rest of us enjoy the racer and maverick. Henry Ford II is a dick. Enzo Ferrari is an Italian dick. Beebe is the ultimate dick. Iacocca is both a dick and cool. Characterization across the board is one of the film's strongest points. EYE CANDY!! Holy crap!! Gorgeous cars everywhere. I have to get a copy of this on disc when it comes out.

Cinematography is outstanding. This is the best racing movie made to date, imho.

The artistic license was kept to a minimum, and all for dramatic tension purposes. The pits at Le Mans are impeccable. A favorite detail is: Alex Gurney, youngest (race driver and champion) son of the late Dan Gurney, plays his dad in a bit supporting role. :)

One movie reviewer down here I heard on the radio on the weekend gave it 10 out of 10 & stated its the best movie he has seen all year, that’s a big call but it must be good.

Looking forward to seeing this one.

Merlin the movie reviewer. I will look forward to tuning in each week to read his review of the latest flicks. Good work.

The reason why I have not commented on a movie until now, is that I do not go to movies but maybe one a year. That's no path to job security as a Siskel or Ebert.
That’s a lot of dick for a movie with no sex.
Oh, well, it's only implied. :D

Need a good movie to take my mind off this tube stuck in my bell end. Prostate steamin' didn't go quite according to plan:eek:. Removal of cavita Monday take 2. Arrived back in Hospital by Ambulance on Tuesday, 14 hours without a bladder movement. Back home now.

Major Stinger withdrawals as well.

Thanks maaate. Monday we'll find out how things are. When I arrived I kid you not I had the energy just to say to the nurses " Please take the piss out of me" the Nurses desk erupted into laughter.

Saw it again this afternoon. My wife liked it and didn't begin to get sleepy (that's a good recommendation:laugh: ). I enjoyed it as much the second time as I did initially.

Definitely a great movie - even for "non-car-people". The Wife liked it just as much as I did. It's an excellent car movie and sort of an 'epic'. Loved the scenes at Daytona and Willow Springs and "LeMans" (I understand the LeMans sets were recreated), as well as the iconic Ford HQ in Dearborn (I attended a 1/2 day meeting there about 10 years ago). Agree with @MerlintheMad... except I didn't think Henry Ford III was THAT big of a dick. The ride in the GT with Shelby (funny!) humanized him - brought him closer to Henry Ford I. Next time I drive my Stinger in a "spirited" manner, I'll be thinking about Ken Miles. Go see it, folks.

There is a documentary on Netflix ‘Shelby American’ which is a good follow up after that great ‘Ford vs Ferrari’ movie. Just came out.

Saw the move yesterday with my wife who really enjoyed it too and she is definitely not into cars. Good performances from the main characters. Loved it and especially loved the cars. Big recommend for those who haven't seen it.
R.I.P. Ken Miles.
