Reported today:

"Within the next few years, the only two cars Ford will make will be the Mustang and a new Focus Active crossover, scheduled to debut next year. The other 90 percent of its North American portfolio will be made up of trucks and SUVs by 2020."

Probably shouldn't come as a surprise, but as someone who enjoys the drive, it's sad to see another nail in the sedans' coffin. Can others be far behind?

I actually like the Ford Fusion looks-wise as far as sedans go. I do think this CUV fad will end at some point.
I'm just blown away that sleek sedans and coupes could be a novelty...

I guess I'm just too old. I see UV's and crossovers as glorified station wagons. Never wanted one. Never bought one. Never will buy one. JMHO.

I think it will be some time before the sedan market dries up. The 4 door coupe thing is taking off so more people might start doing that as well. However, if manufacturers kill them off then we have no choice but to get what they offer for sale.

I dipped my toe into that arena some years back with the VW Touareg, it was a much better vehicle than I expected. The air suspension helped with the Sport lowering function, that thing handled quite well on the 19” wheel/tire summer setup I installed on it. Personally I would prefer a wagon and the upcoming V60 is looking nice.
