Welcome to the hive as many will say. I too get a million pop ups telling me to login when I come here on my phone lol. It’s also hard to see all the nice pictures when you aren’t logged in/signed up.

Yes, but the ads remain. They're far more pernicious than a single popup on opening a forum page that you can click off.
