I had a similar problem when I parked in certain underground parking garages.. seems as if all the Steel reinforcement might act like a type of Faraday Cage? Does this only happen in certain spots or is it more widespread? Wonder if they can reprogram your FOB/CAR to a slightly different frequency?

Not sure as for me it’s in the open

Does the 2nd fob have similar issues?

Related to what's been said already: quite a while back, at least two members had locking/unlocking issues. And it ended up being interference where they were parking. Sorry, I don't remember what they determined the interference was from specifically: but it could be overhead power lines or security systems, et al. powerful electronic presence.

But probably not your issue, if the dealership, on their property, get the same result.

Welcome to the forum, in any case. :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I've had a few occasions when my fob wouldn't unlock the car, or open the hatch and the door wouldn't respond to pressing the handle black button. My impression is that the computer had gone off in the weeds, roaming around looking at all the sensors and trying to figure out where it was, until if finally rebooted, settled back in doing what it was supposed to do. This usually took just a few minutes. Not enough time to decide what to do about it, but disconcerting while it was dead. This appears in other functions that go goofy for a while, then heal up and everything's okay again. On the good side, it has never appeared to affect the steering, lane keeping, engine operation or other critical functions. Doesn't seem to be dangerous. I've just adjusted to regard it as charming eccentricities, rather like my wife. Whom I also loved dearly, like my Stinger.

I see what you did there in regards to the wife.. Nice SAVE :)

Electrical interference or something similar as per Merlin. Had it a couple of times in my Jeep Cherokee. All related to where you are parked at the time.

The dealer had the same issue. So he lives at the dealership?
