As many of you know in the state of Florida you are required to buy the lease out at the dealer.

That being said does anyone have any dealers near Orlando Florida that haven’t charged an extra arm and leg for fees? The original lease is from Bev Smith Kia in Fort Pierce but that is two hours away.

My lease is up in May 2022 I know I plan to keep the car is it best to wait until May or just go in now and do the lease buyout.

I'm not sure how Florida is vs up here in MN but the fees aren't terrible it's the fact that you have to pay the sales tax again that sucks. But you only have to pay the tax on the residual value of the car that is agreed upon when the lease was written. If you go in now you can probably finance it for smaller monthly payments but they will probably charge you a little more because you didn't have it for the full lease term. It's basically a personal decision. Buy it now and your payments might not be as low as when the lease is up. Also be aware of any extra fees they might want to add if you try to buy it out early.

What year is your stinger? How much of a lease rebate did you get?
Buyout sooner then later. Every lease payment reduces your lease rebate.

Wait really, how does that work? I got like 10k in lease incentives but only have 10 lease payments left. Residual is like 28k.

I’m not sure. But that’s what I’ve been told by others

I was at Deland Kia last week. They said their dealer fee is one of the lowest at $899. My lease is up in November on a 2018 Premium with a residual of $17,208. My county has 6.5% sales tax so I need to come in with $19,225 total with the tax and the fee plus whatever the title and tag fee is. Not sure if I can transfer or not ? I'm probably just going to buy it since we really like the car and they won't be making them anymore in another 6 months. That is unless they make me a crazy good deal on a lease like we got on this one. I have a feeling it will hold it's value pretty well.

Just curious if anyone knows of a dealer with a lower fee in Central or Northeast Florida before I start calling around ?

I did call Kia first and they said I have to go to a dealer to buy out the lease.

I know its a bit of a drive but may be worth it, Hollywood Kia in South Florida actually doesn't have a dealer fee which is why I went to them for my lease. Hoping that when I go back for the lease buyout the "no dealer fee" still stands but I haven't checked yet.

Just call around all the dealerships. Give them your info and VIN, let them know you wanna buyout your lease. What is the final buyout amount.
ive called at least 8 dealerships, big difference in final buyout numbers from dealerships to dealerships.
And DO let them know your shopping around.

I have a 2021 GT and like like the dynamic Cruise and better gas mileage of the 2022 GT Line since driving down south to Palm Beach really sucks, too many rubberneckers, too many brake lights so not always on and off the controls with the new cruise control

So I went to make an appointment with Daytona Kia to buy out my Stinger lease and they said their dealer fee is $899 and there is a convenience fee of $500. I said that doesn't sound convenient for me so I'll go somewhere else. I called Family Kia in St Augustine and they said their fee is $799 and the salesperson said she didn't think there were any other fees so we'll see what happens when I get there. I just knew this would be a nightmare...

Just watch out for BS fees and them trying to sell extra crap, ie extened warranties, rust protection, wheel protection, unless you really want them.
Call up KMF get your buyout amount, only pay for doc fee, tax, and maybe tag.
And if you don’t understand a fee or charge, they by law must explain it to you.
If they have other BS fees, tell them to take it off or you’ll go somewhere else.
