Hi I just recently purchased a JB4 and noticed overboosting, especially in 3rd gear.

I saw an option in the app "Shift Indicator RPM" and set it to 6000, but was wondering if this changes when the car decides to shift.

As far as I'm aware all stingers redline around 6800 RPM, and I have it set to 6000, so I was a little confused as to why this was still happening.

If anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated thank you

All that shift indicator does is give you a visual indicator on the app at 6k to prompt you to manual shift if you want. The JB in no way has any control over the TCU. If you have overboost issues, it's because you have it on too high of a MAP, or your boost cut off is set too low.
A log uploaded (.csv file) would be helpful.

Thank you man. I tried running e30 last night and still had issues redlining, and I’ve been fully unable to use launch control on any map without overboosting and red lining. Do you have any idea why? I’m always running 93 octane minimum and ran 93 w/ an e30 mixture last night, so I’m just a little confused

Overboosting has nothing to do with Octane. We would really need to see the log. It's not hard to capture it. Email from your phone to yourself, then upload it here. With almost 100% certainty we can tell you exactly what's going on..... but... we need that log.
A less desirable option is to screen capture all your setting on the app.
