So this just started yesterday. When I accelerate, normally or hard I hear a sliding type of noise from the rear passenger side. Almost sounds like someone left something inside the plastic door panel bottom. Really weird. I checked and the kids didn't leave anything back there and haven't had a chance to check further. Just thought I would throw this out there for some reference.
May have found the problem. Her name is Sandy and we have been married 20 years, in all that time she still manages to twist up the passenger seat belt so it don't retract all the way causing the buckle to swing against the seat sides ... lol
I'll know for sure in the morning when I leave for work.
It's funny how we hear a noise and the first thing we think of is there must be something wrong with the car. You read quite a bit on this forum about noisy Stingers but the vast majority of them are probably fine. Great to hear all is ok with your car Choppa. Good result but funny too.
I've got the same type of noise, seems to come from the rear drivers side. I took every loose thing out of the car. Drove around a bit. The noise, for me, happens when I turn sharply. I keep thinking it sounds like the end of a wire loom that is not connected to anything, sliding / swinging, around in the door. I will tape down the seat belt buckles (not being used) and see if that is it. Good post. I'm glad you found your "ghost".
