I plan on keeping my Stinger bone stock besides maybe a mishimoto oil catch can since its dumb not to and isn't very pricey, but I want to know if the dealerships recommendation for first oil change at 3,000 is good enough. Meaning, should I wait until then or change it at like 1,000? just to get the initial break-in period junk out of there. I just want to get a few opinions from you guys since i'm the noob lol

I'm doing mine at 6,000 as per the manual. Keeps it in warranty, saves me the expense.

Mine was 6000miles

Since we get road salt here (started up again yesterday in fact), that qualifies as "severe" environment. But it isn't for that much of the year, so I temporize and get my oil changed very c. 4K miles (instead of 3K). I've been a few hundred over that a couple of times. No big deal. I wouldn't worry about an oil change at 1K miles or even 3K, unless you are driving in a "severe" environment too. If you allowed your car to "break in" for the first 600 miles that is even more reason not to worry.

I did my first oil change at 1000 miles after purchase because I wanted better oil and the break in thingy ... just to be safe. After that, I change my oil every 5000 miles or every 6 months ... which ever comes first. Always get full synthetic oil. I go with 5w 30 Mobil One. Choosing the brand of oil is another subject.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Surely, that is overkill pampering of the engine. :P But, I bet you can hear your Stinger puurrrring.
